Are You Feeling Unworthy?

When we truly encounter Jesus, we must sense our utter unworthiness. "When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord" (Luke 5:8). Like Peter, when we come face to face with Christ, we must realize our sinful condition which stands in stark contrast to His perfect righteousness.

However, instead of bidding Him to depart from us, we must plead for His strength in prayer to be like Him. And day by day as we behold Him, we will begin to reflect His perfect righteousness to the people around us.

Are you feeling unworthy in your Christian walk, don't give up! It's a sign that you are beholding the finer spots of the Sun of righteousness.
